Biography

Jennifer Hinson has been the Berkeley County Finance Manager since October 2023 but prior to her promotion to her current supervisory role, she served as a Senior Accountant with the County since January 2006. As Finance Manager, Hinson oversees the Finance Department, including payroll, Grants Department, EMS billing, and Budget Department.

Though a native of Hartford, Connecticut, Hinson has resided in the Palmetto State for most of her life. She’s a Berkeley High School graduate and 1990 graduate of College of Charleston. Prior to joining Team Berkeley, Hinson worked in private and public accounting.

Hinson has one daughter, Jordan, a son-in-law, Jared, and three grandchildren: Westlynn, Langston, and Tate.

When not working on spreadsheets and budgetary items, Hinson enjoys sewing, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her “grands.”
