Hundreds across the Lowcountry pull out their safari hats every year and visit Cypress Gardens for their annual “Swamp Safari”. The event has become quite popular with locals and will feature a full schedule of exciting swamp adventures.

Blackwater Ukelele Festival

On Saturday, September 14, 2013, The Blackwater Ukelele Festival will be held at Cypress Gardens. The festival is put on by local ukulele enthusiasts. They kick the festival off with a workshop appropriate for the beginner through intermediate players. The workshop is taught by local ukulele legend Donald "Noodle McDoodle" Whitley, one of the best ukulele players on the east coast.

Garden Ornament Workshops

Learn to make garden ornaments with Portland cement at two workshops scheduled at Cypress Gardens July 24-25. The Hypertufa Workshop is Wednesday morning 9 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. Learn how to make molds and mix tufa cement. Students will make a stepping stone and a flower pot that will end up looking like old tufa stoneware. Return Thursday 9 AM to 1 PM to unmold your projects and learn concrete carving and finishing techniques. $35.

Cypress Gardens Antique Tractor Show

The Antique Tractor Show, hosted by the Charleston Antique Tractor & Engine Society, celebrates its inaugural year at Cypress Gardens. Organizers hope to attract record crowds by holding the show at one of the areas most exciting attractions.

3rd Annual Cultural Dance Festival

Cypress Gardens Cultural Dance Festival returns for a third consecutive year, featuring a vast array of authentic dances from around the world. The performers exhibit distinction and grace as they represent a number of countries, including Egypt, Spain, Philippines, Cuba, Argentina, Tahiti, India, and the United States.

"Swamp Celebrity" Music Competition

Cypress Gardens debuts its own music competition to showcase local talent on Sunday, March 10th. This highly anticipated event unites the Lowcountry’s best amateur musicians together with an excited audience ready to crown their favorite acts. The top performers in each class (17 and under; 18 and over) will receive a $100.00 cash prize and be crowned “Swamp Celebrities”, a title they will carry for a year.

“Breath of Spring” Weekend

March is the prime time to view spectacular blooming flowers at one of the Lowcountry’s most fascinating sites. Cypress Gardens’ “Breath of Spring” weekend kicks off with an annual Flower Show hosted by local garden clubs, then progresses into art and craft exhibits, live entertainment and tons of springtime fun for the entire family.
