Annual Summer Deputy's Day Camp

BCSO’S Annual Summer Deputy's Day Camp will be held on July 13-17, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parental transportation is needed to the Berkeley County Emergency Services Training Center (474 Reid Hill Rd., just behind the Wal-Mart in Moncks Corner) for participation, and child pickup. Drop off time will be at 8:30 a.m. Please make contact with a Deputy before leaving your, child. Pick-up time is 4:00 pm.

Tri-county Literary Celebration

The inaugural Tri-county Literary Celebration (TLC) and kick-off event for Berkeley Reads aims to recognize published authors residing in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, foster interest in the arts, increase the number of avid Lowcountry readers, and connect writers and readers of all ages with published authors. Over 100 authors have been invited to meet readers at the TLC event in Dean Hall from 10 am – 1 pm on Saturday, February 7, 2015. The event is FREE to the public, and the published works of local authors will be available for purchase.

Fruitmania Garden School for Home Gardeners

This January 17, home gardeners have an opportunity to learn about growing fruit in their own back yards at the Fruitmania Garden School at Cypress Gardens. The all day school will have lectures on citrus, strawberries, blueberries, local pollinators and more. In addition there is a Jam and Jelly Contest, and vendors will be selling fruit trees, plants, honey and more. The cost for entry is $35 and lunch is included.
