Mass Casualty Exercise

Berkeley County Emergency Preparedness Department is sponsoring a Full Scale Exercise, called Eternal Vigilance, on Saturday, November 2, 2013.  This exercise will provide participants with an opportunity to assess capabilities, plans, policies, and procedures.  It will focus on decision-making, coordination, and integration with other organizations during a mass casualty event in a residential setting.  The expected outcome of the exercise is to strengthen inter-agency coordination between the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and local first responders.

Berkeley County Mosquito Alert

Mosquito Abatement
In response to a large salt-marsh mosquito hatch-off, Berkeley County Mosquito Abatement will be spraying, by aircraft, in the southern portion of Berkeley County over Daniel Island, Thomas Island, areas adjacent to Clements Ferry Road, and the dredge disposal sites along Clouter Creek. The aerial application will be made on Saturday, September 14th, between the hours of 6:30 and 10:30 a.m.
