BERKELEY COUNTY HOLDS RIBBON-CUTTING FOR MURRAY DRIVE AT YEAMANS HALL ROAD

To celebrate first completed project from 2014 one-cent sales tax

MONCKS CORNER, S.C.- (Thursday, October 5, 2017) Berkeley County leaders will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the recently completed road project at Murray Drive and Yeamans Hall Road, in Hanahan. The ceremony will be held October 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the intersection.

The project was completed on schedule, in August, and just in time for the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. This project marks the first completed road project from the 2014 one-cent sales tax projects.

County Council meeting October 9 to be delayed 15 minutes for tribute outside administration building

MONCKS CORNER, S.C.- (Wednesday, October 4, 2017) Berkeley County leaders decided today they will delay the start time of Monday, October 9 County Council meeting to pay tribute to the victims in the Las Vegas shooting.

The public is invited to join hands outside the Administration Building, located at 1003 Highway 52 Moncks Corner, S.C. 29461 at 6 p.m.

BERKELEY COUNTY ENTERS PARTNERSHIP FOR NEW PUBLIC SAFETY SOFTWARE SYSTEM

For dispatch management system, jail management system and sheriff’s office records management
MONCKS CORNER, S.C.- Berkeley County Government signed a contract with TriTech Software Systems on
Thursday, September 28, 2017 for a new public safety software system. The system includes: a computerized
dispatch system, a records management system for Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office and a jail management
system for Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
