The Engineering Department (including Stormwater Management) has moved to the Water and Sanitation building at 212 Oakley Plantation Drive Moncks Corner, SC 29461. The Charleston and St. Stephen phone lines for these departments have also changed as follows:

Berkeley County Sheriff-Elect Duane Lewis will officially be sworn-in to office on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 3:00 PM in Courtroom E of the Berkeley County Courthouse. The Honorable Kristi Lea Harrington, a resident Circuit Court Judge of the 9th Judicial Circuit, is scheduled to administer the oath of office.
County employees are invited to attend the ceremony, as is the general public.

At last there is a guide book for insect pests and beneficial species written for South Carolina. Dr. Merle Shepard and Dr. Ed Farnworth have written an accessible resource for Lowcountry gardeners full of color photographs, many taken by Dr. Shepard. He will discuss some of the main insects of concern as well as insect helpers found in our gardens. Dr. Shepard will be available to autograph books after the discussion.
