Berkeley County Supervisor Heading To The Streets With Code Enforcement & Animal Control

Lost dog? No problem, Berkeley County Supervisor Dan Davis will be on the job! Davis is scheduled to work alongside county Code Enforcement and Animal Control employees on Tuesday, February 15th as part of his Supervisor On Site (SOS) program. Building Official Henry Jackson has a full day scheduled for Davis.

“Code Enforcement and Animal Control play an integral and often ‘invisible’ role in keeping our County safe,” says Berkeley County Supervisor Dan Davis, “Our Building Inspectors and Code Enforcement Officers work hard to ensure our citizens live and work in healthy environments. Our Animal Control Officers work closely with the SPCA, actively promote responsible pet ownership, and protect the safety of our citizens when stray or unruly animals become a nuisance or threat.”

Davis’ SOS program takes him to a different Berkeley County department each month, where he performs duties assigned by the department Manager or Director. Davis implemented this program last year to help him better understand the day-to-day operations of each department and meet with employees he does not have the opportunity to see on a regular basis.
