Tim Callanan has served on Berkeley County Council since June 2007. Previously, Mr. Callanan served on the Daniel Island Neighborhood Association.

Mr. Callanan has lived in South Carolina for nine years. Mr. Callanan has been married for 11 years to Jeannie Callanan. He has one child, Emmett Callanan. Mr. Callanan attended Iona College and the New York Institute of Finance. Prior to moving to South Carolina, he traded bonds in New York for seven years. In his spare time, Mr. Callanan enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, biking and exploring the latest "technology".

Mr. Callanan's platforms include safety, accountability and efficiency. Locally, he supports "maintaining low property taxes and increasing the quality of services offered by the county". He has worked hard to promote community involvement and increase voter turnout.
