Philip Farley has served on Berkeley County Council since November 2004. Previously, Mr. Farley served as Chairman of the Berkeley County Voter Registration.

Mr. Farley has lived in South Carolina for over 50 years. He is the son of the late Floyd M. and the late Eula Mae Wilson Farley. Mr. Farley has been married for 27 years to the former Wanda Defee. He has two sons and nine grandchildren. Mr. Farley is a Graduate of Palmer Business College, where he earned his AB in Business. He currently owns Farley's Barber Shop in Hanahan. Mr. Farley loves to play golf in his spare time.

Mr. Farley is a supporter of strong conservative government and a member Republican party. His local platforms include "promoting good quality growth which supports a good quality of life". Mr. Farley supported the One Cent Sales Tax referendum, which will provide funds to improve roads throughout our County and provide additional jobs. He also supported the Jedburg Road Improvement District and the Jedburg Road Improvement Plan, which will bring additional industry to our county and provide additional jobs.

Mr. Farley's community involvement and activities include:

• Serving on the Berkeley County Election Commission for eleven years
• Serving as Chairman of the Berkeley County Election Commission
• Member of the Hanahan Exchange Club
• Honorary member of Hanahan Fire Department
• Supporter of Hanahan High School Teams
• Member of Berkeley County Soil and Water Conservation
