Bill Salisbury has lived in Berkeley County his entire life. He and his wife Margaret have been married for 42 years. They have a son Will, a daughter Tammy and two grandchildren. Bill has served the people of Berkeley County all of his life. He has been a volunteer member of The Berkeley County Rescue Squad for 42 years and is presently the Chief. He volunteered with The Moncks Corner City Fire Department and The Moncks Corner Rural Fire Department for over 20 years each and was the Assistant Chief in both departments for many years. Bill also served on Moncks Corner Town Council for twelve years. He volunteered as a Deputy Coroner for seven years before he was appointed to a full time position. He has a total of 16 years with the Coroner’s Office. He presently serves on The Moncks Corner Medical Center Advisory Board; a member of The South Carolina Coroner’s Association; The South Carolina Association for Identification; Fraternal Order of Police; International Homicide Investigators Association and a member of the National Rifle Association. Margaret and Bill are active members of St. Philips Catholic Church in Moncks Corner. Bill also retired from the Federal Government with twenty-seven years service. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
