Uniform Patrol Division
The Uniform Patrol Division is comprised of four separate 12-hour shifts, two day shifts and two night shifts, supervised by a Lieutenant and two Sergeants. The two Sergeants are assigned to supervise deputies that patrol the northern and southern portions of Berkeley County. This process allows for zones identifications, which provides sufficient coverage and quicker response times by deputies.
Deputies respond to an assortment of calls within the county of Berkeley, assisting all citizens and other municipalities when called upon for service or assistance.

The Selective Enforcement Team (SET) provides various specialized functions to support agency operations such as selective traffic enforcement, vice and drug interdiction and special event support as required.
The D.U.I.Enforcement Team (HEAT) enforces public safety highway countermeasure programs to identify and apprehend motorist who operate motor vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
