How do I renew the items I have checked out?

You may renew items (if not reserved) by phone, in person, or by visiting our catalog @ www.berkeley.lib.sc.us. Books and magazines may be renewed twice, music CD’s and audiobooks may be renewed once. DVDs and videos are not renewable.

How do I access my library account from home?

Go to www.berkeley.lib.sc.us Click on the blue "Catalog" button, then click on the "My Account" tab and type in the barcode (without spaces) from your library card.

How do I borrow an item the library does not own?

Call or come in to your branch. Staff will send an Interlibrary Loan request to borrow the item for you. In some cases, the requested item will be purchased for addition to the collection.

How do I access the library’s databases from home?

Go to www.berkeley.lib.sc.us Click on the blue "Discus" button, determine which database from the list you would like to search, then select "Outside the Library". You will then be prompted to enter the barcode (without spaces) from your library card.
