Biography

John Villeponteaux is the Water Superintendent for Berkeley County Water and Sanitation. He and his staff work with the public and industries to provide safe, reliable water to our community. John genuinely cares about the community and understands the importance of this mission; therefore, he strives to continuously improve the processes. John has worked his way up through the organization from a technician, to crew leader, to foreman and superintendent. He leads by example and can often be found on the jobsites with his employees troubleshooting any issues. John has earned numerous certificates and is most proud of the greenbelt in Lean Sigma Six and the “A” Distribution License. In his free time, John enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, and being outdoors doing activities such as hunting.
