Biography

Jakob Koeniger is the Berkeley County Water and Sanitation Director of Operations.
He was born in Charleston and graduated from Trident Technical College with an associate’s degree in Applied Science in 2016.
Koeniger Came to Berkeley County in 2010 as a laborer and quickly climbed the ladder in the Department. In 2011, he moved over to the pump and plant maintenance section. In 2018, he advanced to the position of Mechanical Superintendent, and continued later to Director of Operations in 2023.
