Danny Thrower, Chief Infrastructure Officer for Berkeley County, has been involved in public service for the past 27 years.
Danny serves on the Berkeley County Transportation Committee (CTC), as a Board Member on the South Carolina American Public Works Association (SCAPWA) Lowcountry Chapter Branch and on the Berkeley County Stormwater Capital Improvement Advisory Board.
Danny graduated from Summerville High School in 1975. After graduating, he studied surveying and construction design at Trident Technical College and was involved with land surveying and construction lay-out for more seventeen years.
Born and raised in the Summerville and Ridgeville area, he has lived in Berkeley County for the past thirty-four years with his wife Diane. They have three children and three grandchildren. Sons Clay and Reid, both graduated from the Citadel with a Civil Engineering Degree. Daughter Paige graduated from Trident Technical College with an associate degree in Accounting.
Danny and his family attend Faith Christian Church in Summerville. He is a devoted Christian and family man. In his spare time, he likes to play golf, do yard work, and attend children’s and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.
